In “Marquee tech deals go from glut to rut,” Bloomberg poses the question: where have all the big-ticket tech acquisitions gone?

Global technology merger and acquisition volume is down 54 percent from a year ago, at $106 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. EY-Parthenon Managing Director, Co-head of Technology Barak Ravid weighed in, noting that EY-Parthenon is working on two large technology deals that could be announced before 2017 ends.

Deals could have been impacted by potential changes around tax reform. “Some of EY-Parthenon’s clients that execute larger technology deals were hoping for more clarity on tax reform this year,” Barak said, and that has “stalled some plans.”
